To me Hospice is not utilized as much as it should be. Hospice is hard to “buy” in the community because it has a morbid connotation. The truth is one’s end of life comes with or without hospice – so why not let us help families when they need it most.  Working at Harmony Life Hospice in more than a job, it is a special calling because not everyone has the ability to touch the lives of our hospice community. It is benificial for them to know that we truly care and understand their situations. Please pass it forward and follow the Golden Rule. Never underestimate the power of the mind – and FEAR leads to Anger.

I love working in Hospice because our team makes a positive, profound difference in our patient’s transition from this life to eternity. Working in Hospice is a special calling because I am able to provide professional nursing care and at the same time minister to my patients by listening to them and praying for them. I would recommend employment and/or volunteerism in Hospice, as it is an extremely rewarding field, both spiritually and personally.

Working in Hospice is a special calling because it shows compassion. It is what Jesus showed when he came into the world for mankind. Love is what causes one to choose this call on ones life. This is what Jesus did to show eternal life, so we meet this need so they too may see Jesus through us.
